Initial Certification Audit

Updated: Mar 5, 2021

Initial Certification consists of two stages (Stage 1 and Stage 2) and is conducted by Certification Oceania, which is an independent external third-party Certifying organisation.

Stage1 consists of a review and assessment of an organisations management system documentation to establish if the documentation meets the required Standard/s. Any Stage 1 audit “non-compliances” or “improvements needed” identified would need to be addressed and closed-out prior to Stage 2.

Stage 2 also includes checking to see that the organisation has had an internal audit conducted and that there are records of the internal audit and Management System Review Meeting minutes.

Stage 2 consists of a review and assessment of an organisations management system records and registers to establish the extent to which the management system is implemented and assess the level of compliance with approved procedures and the relevant Standard/s and legislation. Any “non-compliances” identified need to be redressed and closed-out prior to Certification.
